The exhibition, curated by The Walt Disney Animation Research Library, traces the history of the American animation studio from its origins, when it was still called Disney Brothers Cartoon Studios, up to the production of the latest films.
From the first short films by Micky Mouse to the feature films dedicated to the characters of childhood literature from Snow White to Cinderella from Pinocchio to Alice in Wonderland, to get to the newly invented characters, Disney has tried to adapt ancient and popular stories to the spirit of times, making animation cinema not only a form of entertainment but a means of telling and interpreting reality.
If over time the attention to contemporaneity has remained unchanged, many and rapid changes have occurred in the techniques of making animated films, especially with the advent of digital. The exhibition will allow you to discover the complex construction system that hides behind a Disney masterpiece.
The “Disney. The art of storytelling” exhibition at Mudec in Milan is an unmissable opportunity to discover the story of one of the most visionary and passionate film directors of all time and to enter the fantastic world of Disney cinema to discover its secrets, without ever losing the magic effect.
