The exhibition dedicated to Leonor Fini will explore the work of the surrealist painter, with a particular focus on her contributions as a woman artist. The exhibition includes paintings, drawings, photography, decorative arts, fashion design, costumes, artist books, and documents, highlighting the versatility of her work.
The exhibition aims to explore key themes such as gender, identity, belonging, and social conventions, bringing Leonor Fini’s work to the attention of new generations. The title of the exhibition is inspired by a quote from the artist: “I am a painter. When they ask me how I do it, I answer: ‘I am,'” which reflects her artistic vision, free from constraints or rigid definitions.
