Exhibition of Bice Lazzari

The exhibition itinerary covers the entire career of Bice Lazzari, an artist who worked throughout the twentieth century. The exhibition brings together over 110 works, including pieces from prestigious Italian and foreign institutions and collections, such as Ca’ Pesaro – International Gallery of Modern Art in Venice, the Salomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, and the Phillips Collection in Washington D.C. Her language, characterized by line, rhythm, and color, manifests a coherent and personal research that actively engaged with both Italian and European artistic avant-gardes. The exhibition, curated by Renato Miracco in collaboration with the Bice Lazzari Archive and the GNAMC – National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome, allows for the rediscovery of an artist who left a profound and distinctive mark. The itinerary includes various phases of her production: from mural art to the decoration realized for the motorship Raffaello, from fabric designs commissioned by Gio Ponti up to the acquisitions made by the National Gallery of Rome under the direction of Palma Bucarelli.
