Exhibition of Van Gogh

An immersive experience.

Mudec in Milan

Monday/Wednesday/Thursday from 10.00 am – 8.00 pm, Friday/Saturday/Sunday from 10.00 am – 9.00 pm and Tuesday closed.

An immersive exhibition designed for all ages and dedicated to the Dutch painter. Among sunflowers, wheat fields and starry skies, visitors are invited to get lost in the world of the artist thanks to a powerful video-mapping system and virtual reality headsets.

The exhibition is a unique opportunity to deepen, through the artist’s eyes, the complex relationship between the human being and the nature that surrounds him. Maintaining the theme that gives the title to the exhibition, “Man and the Earth”, the exhibition follows the biographical and artistic parable of Van Gogh, from the first works made in his native Holland, to the encounter with Impressionism and neo-impressionism.

Dedicated to those who at least once dreamed of entering a painting, the exhibition takes place in a space of over 1000 square meters of light and sound, with projections on two floors of the most iconic and interesting works of Van Gogh.

The guided tour will take you into a total immersion in the work of Van Gogh, going to investigate thoroughly in the history of the painter who for the truth of his images, the intensity of his colors and the strength of his brushstroke has first affirmed the identity between art and life, opening to expressionist movements and all the art of the twentieth century, eventually becoming one of the most important artists in the history of art.
